Part-Time Competitive Dance

Join our supportive and talented team

VDC’s Part-Time Competitive Dance Program is designed for committed dancers who are ready to elevate their training while maintaining balance. This program offers focused technique development, competition experience, and strong team culture — all within a structured and supportive environment.

Ideal for dancers transitioning from recreational classes or looking to explore competitive training without a full-time commitment, our Part-Time team builds confidence, discipline, and artistry under the guidance of experienced VDC faculty.

FAQ

Placement depends on ability and readiness rather than age alone. Auditions start in June and students in our recreational program are also asked to join the team.

Not always. Strong recreational dancers may be recommended for PT placement.

Competition schedules vary by season and details are shared before registration. Typically, PT dancers have three regional competitions in the Spring.

To be eligible for extra choreography in the upcoming season, dancers must attend the VDC Part-Time Intensive.

We also have a PT Technique week dancers are encouraged to attend.

PT dancers are welcomed to take the Open Classes July 28-30 and Aug 4-6.

Yes. Dancers may be evaluated and invited to transition as they develop.
